We are a friendly and welcoming archery club based at Backworth Miners Welfare in the North East of England.

We welcome new and experienced archers and have an excellent training programme.  If you want to learn the sport contact us here.

We shoot in the beautiful setting of Backworth Hall grounds (weather permitting), and indoors in a local school to allow shooting throughout the year.

Currently we typically shoot

  • outdoors Wednesday (sighters at 13:00) afternoon; and Saturday afternoons (sighters at 13:00) both at Backworth Hall, Station Road, NE3 1YT; Time for Wednesdays will change to 2pm from April 1st.

  • indoors at The Blyth Academy, Chase Farm Dr, Blyth NE24 4JP, on Sunday afternoon (sighters at 13:00).  Last day indoors is 29th March after that we shall be outdoors on Sundays, sighters at 2pm.

Beginners Courses run through the summer season on Weds Evening and Fri Evening, and club archers can shoot alongside the courses.
