About Us

We are a friendly and growing archery club based in and around Backworth in the North East of England.  We have a membership of over 60, ranging from extremely experienced archers to 'newbies', training and developing their skills.  Whether you're keen to take up the sport seriously and look at competitive archery, or simply to spend time in a sociable and healthy pursuit, we're the club for you.

We have the advantage of a shooting field surrounded by mature woodland in the grounds of Backworth Hall.

We run training courses from spring to autumn, and have regular coaching sessions to help you improve following your beginner's course.

Our outdoor club championship (for members) is held in October with an indoor one in March or April.

In addition to the Big Weekend we also run free monthly Have-a-go sessions although donations are appreciated - all equipment supplied!
